INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

LAUNCH YOUR CAREER

The Dream Center internship experience provides practical non-profit training in human services, public health, community awareness, and poverty-related issues. As an intern, you’ll be able to work alongside our leadership and volunteer teams to learn strategies and gather general insight into operating the programs at the Dream Center.  The internship experience will challenge you and provide you with the knowledge and expertise to positively impact the lives of those in need.

TARGETED TRAINING AREAS & WEEKLY TASK INFORMATION:

  • Weekly, you’ll serve as an assistant to the DC Staff on various administrative tasks and fundraising and assist with program support/development. Other tasks may include volunteer management, digital marketing, and follow-ups with sponsors/donors.

  • Assist with day-to-day office operations, such as answering phones, keeping accurate records for program directors, greeting clients, data entry, etc.

  • Internship positions at the Dream Center allow candidates to lead programs and teams. For example, our interns may serve as managers for the Clothes Closet and work on the current expansion project for the DC feeding programs. Alison Brace and Gina Castle are direct reports in these areas. Candidates can expect to grow in their leadership abilities.

  • Serve people in need with kindness and compassion.

  • Interns may be given additional opportunities to lead as project managers for various assignments, which allows interns to develop organizational and communication skills.
